Jubilee Beacons!

THIS weekend will see people celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee across the Vale and Bridgend, as well as nationally, and Jubilee Beacons will be lit across the country on Monday, June 4, between 1015pm and 10.30pm.

The following beacons will be lit in our area (the list is on the Queen’s Jubilee website and The GEM advises checking locally that events are going ahead as planned):

The Vale: Cliff Walk, Penarth; Flat Holm Island, Bristol Channel; Hill House Farm, St Mary Hill; Pontyclun; Sully Beach; Tair Croes, Ewenny; The Beacon, Heol Faen, Wick; The Old Beacon Site, Wick; Ty Fry Farm, Pendoylan; Victoria Park Barry; Y Graig, Llantrisant; Cowbridge. St Hilary Downs.
