Getting to the Vale Show by bus is an easy option this year, with pick up points all around the Vale.

Cowbridge and Llantwit Major: Buses will depart from Cowbridge Town Hall Square and the pick up points are: Cowbridge, Town Hall Square, High Street, Westgate, Llantwit Major Road (B2470), Penyrheol Terrace, Llantwit Major Road and Llantwit Major By-pass, Llantwit Major, Llanmaes Road, Le-Pouliguen Way, Llantwit Major Interchange, Boverton Road, Boverton, Eglwys Brewis Road, Eglwys Brewis, Cowbridge Road, RAF St Athan East Gate, St Athan Village, Rectory Rd, Gileston Monument, B4265, to Vale Show as traffic.management system permits. Return as above in reverse.

Departure times from Cowbridge town centre are: 9am; 10am; 11am; 12pm; 1pm; 2.30pm; 3.30pm; 4.30pm; 5.30pm.

From Barry town centre: Buses will depart from Barry via Wyndham Street, Holton Road, Civic Offices, Broad Street, Ship Gyratory, St Nicholas Rd, Park Crescent, Pontypridd Road, A4226, Porthkerry Road, Rhoose, Fontygary Road, East Aberthaw to Vale Show as traffic.management system permits. Return as above in reverse except in Barry via Gladstone Road and Court Road to Wyndham Street.

Departure times from Barry town centre are: 9am; 10am; 11am; 12pm; 1pm; 2.30pm; 3.30pm; 4.30pm; 5.30pm.

Penarth and Dinas Powys: Buses will depart from Cogan, Windsor Road, Penarth, Windsor Arcade, Stanwell Road, Cefn Mably, Redlands Road, Eastbrook Road, Eastbrook, Cardiff Road, Dinas Powys, Cardiff Road (A4055), Barry Dock Link Road (A4231), Barry, Port Rd East, Port Rd West, A4226, B4265 to Vale Show as the traffic management system permits.

Return as above in reverse between show ground and Eastbrook then direct to Cogan via Barry Road and Barons Court junction then follows the outbound route through Penarth.

Departure times from Penarth are: 8.30am; 10.15am; 12pm; 1.45pm, 3.30pm; 5.05pm.

Cardiff Airport (Rhoose). There will also be a service from Rhoose Railway Station at Cardiff Airport. This will run hourly between 8.15am and 5.15pm.

However, it must be emphasised that these times are advisory, because the bus will wait for incoming trains from both Cardiff and Bridgend before departing for the show ground.

For all four bus services, there is a flat fare of £1.50 per person for adults, children, singles or returns. Welsh concessionary bus pass holders are free. The buses will stop at all recognised bus stops on route.

NOTE:

Trade stand are scheduled to close at the show at 6pm, and the show ground will close at 8pm.
